Anyone who knows me well (or, let's face it, even a little) knows that I love Ingrid Michaelson. I will surely be writing about her multiple times during the course of this blog.

If I knew the way to less alone

It wouldn't sink me like a stone

This line is the reason I'm writing about this song. The song itself is beautiful - soft, slow, emotional. The way it builds at the end, leaving behind lyrics for controlled vocalization, is very pretty. It's a perfect way to close out her 2014 Lights Out album. While it isn't one of her more famous or popular songs, and not even close to one of my personal favorites, that line... That small line has been playing over and over in my head for months now.

This post devolved into a self-pity filled shit fest so I deleted the majority of it. Here's this beautiful song instead. I'll do better for Monday. Promise.
